Pride and Wonder/ The Secret to Getting Things Done

O'Dark Thirty - 4:03 am must be my body and brains witching hour. I started tossing and turning at 3:40 am and was wide eyed in the dark by...
3:52. So I gave up on the struggle, clicked my night lite to life, and here we are. I’m not confused as to why my noodle won’t wait for day break this morning. Last night I read the comment by Garnett Foundation on my “wake Up” blog post (Thurs 2/20/14) and I can only describe the feeling inside of me right now as Pride and Wonder.

Posting random thoughts and my written work sometimes feels like screaming in a wind tunnel (one of the big ones where they test car aero-dynamics). I was hoping the page views on my blog weren’t just friends and family clicking on the page to pad the numbers, which isn’t all bad, I just want to get outside of the people I pester to check me out. Anyway, thank you Garnett Foundation for taking the extra second to notice me and thank you for your comment.

I’ve been reading a book by Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone that has made my days a hundred times more productive and wasted days a distant memory. They write in “Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude”, that the secret to getting things done in all facets of life lies in three simple words….
DO IT NOW!

You got that? Phone calls to make….. Do It Now. Clean up so you can get out the door….. Do It Now. Emails to return, meetings to set up, info to look at online, birthday parties to plan, bills to pay, work out you’ve neglected….. stop waiting until the last minute. DO IT NOW. See it, say it, and think it until you no longer procrastinate. If the task is good and productive and will better your situation, what in the hell are you waiting for? DO IT NOW!

Grow bold in your actions, get that report finished, and take that trip you’ve been talking about for years. Make another pot of coffee and write two more chapters. Wake up when you have an idea and if you don’t start building out your empire at that moment, at least jot down some notes that you can return to later. Thank you for visiting The Grey Area. Come back soon and bring friends with you.
